Madrid

This week I was in Madrid... I was already teased by some friends on Fb if I didn't want to buy a little dog and put him on a diamond collar like Paris Hilton... ;-) It was just a coincidence as two important meetings got scheduled one after the other. The first in Beijing, the second in Madrid. So my flight schedule was Amman-Abu Dhabi-Beijing-Abu Dhabi-Amman-Madrid-Amman... but both conferences were really nice and helpful. Spain is nice. I've been here before on business with my previous employer. This time I stayed in a different area of the city. It was a bit out side and it was a bit a pain as every time we wanted to go downtown it took us 45 minutes... but on the other side our company was exactly across the street :-) which was good as we started at 0800. I had a great time here. Meeting all my colleagues from all over the regions. It is just so much nicer and efficient if you can have a face to face meeting instead of a call. and on top of it it is just more personal.

I managed to catch a small glimpse of the city too. I went shopping and was successful! ;-) not for me but for my wife ;-) she gave me an order and as a good husband I executed the order of course...but there was somebody who helped me ;-) this goes out to LE...Thanks a lot for having helped me choosing the color and even more for the great evening! Was real fun! Looking forward seeing you soon again somewhere in this world ;-)

Except that it was a really busy week... meetings all day long and the hotel was let's say...OK. I couldn't find sleep as the bed was so hard and I kept waking up at crazy hours. But all in all it was a great time here. I am nevertheless looking forward to fly back to Amman where I can sleep in my own bed ;-)
