June 24 / Getting lost in Amman

First day of our weekend is already over :-( not really as we're going for football tonight. Meeting a French colleague who is married to a Russian lady. Very nice people. Yesterday and today was chilly. Believe it or not but yesterday night we had to almost wear a sweater as it was windy and cold. This morning when we got up it was cloudy :-( during the day it cleared up and it was sunny but clouds remained here and there. Today was our "drive and find during the day and so you find it at night" day. As it is extremely difficult for us to find things at night we go and scout the locations during the day... so today was such a day. We drove from here to there and checked out an enormous sports center with all different sports facilities you can imagine (even a hippodrome! You can bring your horse when you come to see us E.H. ;-) We also visited the biggest mosque here (the King Hussein Mosque). Very nice! I was very impressed of the beauty of the mosque and the whole area.

We saw a house in the neighborhood and we hope we can book it. Keep your fingers crossed! We drove around today and tried to "get lost"... just to check out other locations where we have never been before. One thing I have to tell you is that wherever you go in Amman you will never feel that the area is unsafe. People are nice and helpful everywhere! This is also what I was told by all different people: " There is no unsafe area in Amman! While driving around we really found areas we had no clue where we ended up. We even found out that there are some rail tracks! I had no idea that Amman had a train running. We learn every day!

Take care wherever you are in this world and a big hug from Amman!
