This weekend we are having the first summer day! It is almost 30° hot. It is great as it is not too hot but sunny and just nice. Katja bought furniture for the rooftop terrace and now we have a really cool "Rattan-Lounge" outside. It is just cozy to sit there and enjoying a drink. Last week we had our very good friend here. She arrived late afternoon and we picked her up at the airport. She spent the whole week with Katja und the had quite a program. They went toa very nice lodge out in the desert called Feynan Lodge. Check it online:

The day before they hung out at the Dead Sea and from there they drove to the Lodge. They walked up to a hill in the very morning and watched to the sunrise. It is very nice they told me. They also went to Iraq Al Amir (already described in an earlier blog). Also down town, the citadel and all the nice things were on the list of course ;-)
She left yesterday night. It was funny as we had daylight saving only yesterday night not like Europe a week ago. We really had to check when exactly the plane was leaving but we managedto bring her there on time!
It is always the same...you really enjoy the time with somebody and by the time you get used to people leave... it's always hard as people who came so far were all lovely and we did so enjoy them. Indeed it is as in the R.E.M. song: "Leaving is always easier than to be left behind..." The nice thing is that soon the next ones will be here and we will enjoy the time with them :-)
Today is 1st of April and I usually try to do a first of April prank. I did not know what to do until this morning! I woke up and sent an e-mail to many friends that Katja and I bought an apartment with view to the Dead sea and that everybody should drop by to celebrate and that we'd rent it out to amortize the mortgage earlier. Of course it was not true but so many friends came back with the nicest and most lovely wishes! I almost (but only almost ;-) felt bad for having punk'd them! Anyway that's tradition ;-) keep watching out!
I was supposed to travel to Dubai but unfortunately the presenter got sick so that they had to cancel the training. As a compensation Amman weather is so nice that I do not regret at all to be here! The terrace is just too nice :-)
Take care wherever you are in this world! Big hug from Amman!
