Wow unbelieavable how fast time runs... we are already one year here! If I go back in my blogs, watch and read my posts from one year ago...wow a lot happend since... yesterday we threw a fantastic "one year in Amman" party. Many friends came by and it was a blast! We started upstairs on the roof-top terrace and after sunset we came down where we enjoyed BBQ and all sort of fantastic food and drinks. It was just great and it makes it easier to be here while having nice people around you. Some leave and new ones arrive... that's how it is but I think just because of that you try to live the moment more intense and enjoy people as you know that it is for a defined period and after that people will move on... We are lucky to have such nice friends here in Amman from all over the world. Yesterday I went through the people who came and we had Austrians, Swiss, Italians, Belgian, Brazilian, French, Russian, Jordanian, US American, Canadian, German (hope I did not forget anybody ;-) people at our place. Those are the moments that make you forget all the hassle, struggeling and bad moments you have while being here...
Next week we are going to have new friends at our place. They came to Jordan already one week ago but decided to travel from the south (Aqaba) slowly up north. We will go and pick them up at the Dead Sea today and we are so looking forward having them here! Next week we will also try a traditional cooking class! A lady in Amman teaches you at her house how to cook traditional food and you can go with your friends and enjoy an evening cooking and eating the food you prepared! Sounds really like fun and we are so looking forward to joining "the class" ;-) Apparently they best "chef" will get an award... I will let you know how we did ;-)
